I can ping everything at any site from any CentOS box, EXCEPT the other CentOS servers.īefore I disabled Iptables, I was not able to ping any CentOS box, so I doubt there is a different firewall, but I could be wrong. I can ping all CentOS from my (Windows) laptop, at any site. If I SSH into the remote CentOS box, I can ping my laptop but not the other CentOS box right next to me. I even went so far as to swap cables and switchports. When I try to ping the same box from the CentOS box right next to me, it doesn't. When I connect a laptop into the same switch that one box is connected and then ping the remote box, it responds. Basically the only thing we did was swap locations because one had more capacity than the other. Ports are consistent, and everything runs across a metro-E so they are all behind the main firewall.
